CORPUS CHRISTI – The USS Lexington Museum is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting our first ever “Come Back Stronger” Virtual Concert and Fundraiser live from the flight deck this Saturday, August 29, 2020. Guests can tune in online via our Event Page, Facebook, or YouTube at 6:45 PM and enjoy a free, live performance by The Brian Black Band, presented by Merrill Lynch and Conni & Jay Wise. Viewers will also be able to bid in an online auction with unique items, including a guitar signed by Clint Blank, an exclusive barrel of Devils River Bourbon Whiskey, USS Lexington memorabilia, and much more.
As a result of recent closures due to COVID-19 and Hurricane Hanna, the number of visitors to the USS Lexington Museum in historically low. The USS Lexington Museum is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has remained totally self-sufficient, operating without funding from local, state, or federal government agencies.
“This will be a great opportunity to include the community in preserving this historic ship,” said Steve Banta, the USS Lexington Museum Executive Director. “We’re excited to host this concert, and thank you for your continued support to help us “Come Back Stronger!”
