America 250 Celebration Aboard the USS Lexington Museum – Powered by AEP Texas

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The USS Lexington Museum invites the community to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with special $2.50 General Admission on Saturday, July 4, made possible through the support of AEP Texas. Through a generous $35,000 donation, AEP Texas is underwriting the reduced admission rate, helping make history more accessible while ensuring the USS Lexington Museum can continue its educational mission without impacting critical operating revenue.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore all five tour routes throughout the historic aircraft carrier during regular museum hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., experiencing firsthand the stories of service, sacrifice, and innovation that shaped our nation’s history.

“AEP Texas believes in the power of community. We are excited that our support of the USS Lexington Museum allows everyone in our Coastal Bend community and around Texas the opportunity to enjoy a $2.50 admission to The Lady Lex for America’s 250th birthday,” Omar Lopez, AEP Texas Communications director, said. “At AEP Texas, we put the customer first. We’re proud to be a part of an important celebration for our nation and our great state of Texas.”

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to honoring America’s history, expanding educational access, and creating meaningful opportunities for families and visitors to connect with one of the nation’s most iconic historic landmarks.

AEP Texas is also a sponsor of the USS Lexington Museum’s “Red, White, & Boom!” Fireworks Viewing Party, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the Flight Deck.

The evening celebration will feature live music, patriotic souvenirs, and food, beer, and wine available for purchase. New this year, guests will enjoy a patriotic laser show celebrating America’s 250th anniversary before taking in the City of Corpus Christi’s fireworks display over the bayfront.

Please note: “Red, White, & Boom!” Fireworks Viewing Party evening event tickets are sold separately and are not included with the discounted general admission during regular museum hours.
