Face Coverings

UPDATE: June 25, 2020 2:00 p.m.

Dear Friends of the USS Lexington Museum,

The USS Lexington Museum is open daily to visitors from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Effective at 9:00 a.m. on Fri, June 26, the USS Lexington Museum will comply with requirements for “Commercial Entities” in the latest Executive Order from Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales.

All LEX visitors 10 years of age and older, as well as all staff and volunteers, will be required to wear face coverings while indoors and when in close contact.

The health and safety of our guests, staff, and volunteers are of utmost importance to us and we continue to recommend the following protocols related to suppressing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wear face coverings when indoors and when in close contact (age 10 and over)
  • Increase the frequency and length of hand-washing
  • Refrain from touching faces, specifically eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Avoid groups of other guests and follow social distancing guidelines

We continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the guidance provided by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Texas Health and Human Services, and the Nueces County Public Health District.

Please visit our website or social media for the latest information about admission and events at the USS Lexington Museum.

Sincerely,
Steve Banta
CAPT, USN (Ret.)
Executive Director
