Information

PROGRAM:
The Member Overnight Adventure will be conducted in a fun-spirited, but military-like manner, following the general schedule and format of our Camp LEX Program. Falling in, stowing your gear, and following orders will all be part of this unique and memorable experience aboard the USS Lexington Museum.

GEAR NEEDED:
Each participant will need to bring a pillow, sleeping bag or sheets/blankets, toiletries, towel, flashlight, and any other items needed for an overnight camp-out. Feel free to bring cell phones and cameras, but please leave video games and other electronic devices at home.

SLEEPING AREAS:
All participants will be sleeping in racks, or bunks, in assigned berthing compartments to accommodate males and females separately. No exceptions can or will be made. These beds are sometimes two or three high, and are outfitted with covered foam mattresses. Participants will be assigned shared berthing compartments and must respect the privacy of others. Restroom facilities, or heads, include showers.

FOOD:
Meals are provided by our onboard caterer. No outside food or beverages are allowed. (With the exception of those who have notified us in advance of dietary restrictions.) Vending machines are available. Water bottles may be brought for refilling at scuttlebutts, or water fountains.

LOCKERS:
Lockers are available in berthing compartments. Participants who wish to secure their belongings must bring their own lock. (Please do not leave expensive items in your vehicle.)

PARKING:
Overnight guests are encouraged to park in the LEX lot. Vehicles are not permitted on the pier. Guests will need to carry all necessary overnight gear on board.
