F2H-2 Banshee

The Banshee was a second generation Navy jet that basically upgraded the technology of the FH-1 Phantom. It represented a relatively safe approach to increased performance and many of its specifications are nearly twice those of the Phantom. The F2H was a stable, reliable aircraft that performed well in the shipboard environment. Banshee pilots affectionately nicknamed her the "Banjo."
